Hi,
I have been with my new parents since January 2007. I have adapted very well and have, myself adopted a Whippet as my sister in March 2008. It is okay to have a sister to play with, but I don’t like it when she sleeps close to me. She does not have a proper coat like I do, so she gets very cold very easily.
Mommy and Daddy says they cannot believe that anyone would get rid of such a sweet dog, such as myself. I love human ladies, but do not share so much love for men, other than my new daddy and close family. I especially hate smoking. It will kill you, and if not I’ll gladly assist
.
I enjoy walks with my sister and new parents, and since they do not have children of their own I enjoy the luxuries of taking up space on the couch, sleeping in my parent’s room, riding in the car to exciting places. but I earn my keep. I will, when my Daddy and Mommy take me someplace, always be on the lookout. Daddy is not a sighthound and cannot see everything I can. I wait and stalk the baddy until he is close to the window, and than I jump up and bark. Because I am black they don’t see me until I bark, and then they run away. It’s a lot of fun protecting my parents like this, they don’t like it as much as I do.
I have developed Symmetrical Lupoid Onychodystrophy, which means that my outer toenails falls off. I don’t have any toenails left, but I am getting used to it. But my parents are taking good care of me and give me all the medical treatment I require.
Since I have so much Whippet in me I enjoy sleeping a lot. Speaking of which, I must go now. My bed is calling…
Thank you very much for taking care of me while I found parents. I have made a massive difference in their lives. Of course I have.
