Volunteer
Wet Nose has many volunteers who absolutely love spending time with our animals. Due to the fact that we do not put animals down, some of our animals stay at Wet Nose for some time before a home is found for them. Although they get to play in exercise runs and get taken for walks by our staff, they are always happy to see the volunteers who walk them, play with them, groom them and provide extra tender loving care.
You are most welcome to become a Wet Nose volunteer. When you volunteer for the first time, you will be required to complete a form, and you will be shown the ropes. After that, you can come and spend time at Wet Nose whenever you like, aslong as we are open. Children under 16 will have to be accompanied by an adult, as we do not want to lose an animal or have injuries.
So, come along and try it, you will love it and so will the animals.
Corporate / Social Development
Many companies get involved with charity organizations as part of their social responsibility projects. If you work for a company who has this kind of program, suggest doing something with Wet Nose.
Team building
Often companies bring groups of employees to Wet Nose to walk dogs, fix kennels, paint etc. You can have a picnic under the trees and do something for a good cause whilst building team spirit.
Birthdays and other celebrations
From time to time someone has a birthday or similar party and they ask their guests to bring donations for Wet Nose instead of gifts. This is also a great opportunity for you to tell people about Wet Nose. You can even invite them to Wet Nose for your party and have a picnic and walk dogs, instead of a very expensive party.
