Some people raise funds when they do a fun run or a cycle challenge, even 4×4 challenges have done this. Students often have to organize events in aid of a charity and get marks for their efforts.

Companies hold charity auctions or fashion shows, and some even offer their services and skills for free to raise funds. Hairdressers have cut hair all day or beauty therapists have massaged their fingers to the bone all day in aid of Wet Nose. Singers have sung for the animals supper and celebrities have done all sorts of crazy things for a good cause.
